Accreditation Site Visit
Notre Dame of Maryland University School of Nursing will host a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accreditation site visit on February 27th and 28th and March 1st, 2017. This visit is part of the process for seeking accreditation through CCNE for the Baccalaureate (Entry-Level and RN to BSN) and the Master’s Nursing Programs.
CCNE is an autonomous accrediting agency which ensures the quality and integrity of professional nursing programs.
As a voluntary, self-regulatory process, CCNE accreditation supports and encourages continuing self-assessment by nursing programs and supports continuing growth and improvement of collegiate professional nursing education.
Prior to the accreditation visit, schools of nursing are required to provide an opportunity for communities of interest (e.g., students, alumni, faculty, employers, etc.) to provide third party comments about our program, students, and graduates directly to CCNE.
Written and signed third-party comments related to the program’s compliance with the accreditation standards must be received by CCNE by February 6, 2017.
All third-party comments submitted to CCNE must be written in English, consistent with CCNE's policy on Conduct of Business in English. Any and all comments submitted to CCNE in a language other than English will not be processed.
Any specific signed third-party comments relating to the accreditation process should be directed to the CCNE home office or via email.
